 The Island Chapel is located across the street from “downtown
Tierra Verde” an island community at the south end of Pinellas county,
St. Petersburg, Florida. The Island Chapel is the only church located
on the entire island. We’re pleased that God has allowed us to be a
“beacon of light” to this community and all of its’ visitors.
This ministry was started in 1992 by
Dr. Mike Wetzel and just a few very faithful families. In 2001
we completed our new building and our membership today is over 150. We
are blessed with many visitors who come to our area for vacation, or
make our beautiful area their winter home. We enjoy their company –
and our friendly members make each visitor feel welcome.
Our services include:
- Sunday Morning Worship at 8:00 AM
and 10:00 AM
- Adult / Youth Sunday School 9:00
AM /
Children’s Sunday School at 10:00 AM
- Wednesday evening Prayer and Bible
Study at 7:00 PM
